Women have made a great impact and progress on the real estate industry. According to NAR (National Association of Realtors), 56% of licensed brokers, 66% of sales agent licensees, 63% of full-time sales agents, and 69% of part-time sales agents are women.
While these numbers are smaller when looking at women in leadership roles, progress is still being made.
Over the last decade, we have seen a 24% increase in women-owned franchise businesses. Today, 26% of all franchises are solely woman-owned, and 9% with at least one female partner in the ownership group. Additionally, 41% of new franchisees launched in the last 24 months are women-owned.
In the third annual ranking of the best employers for women by Forbes Magazine, KW ranks as one of the top 10 workplaces for women. We are proud to be on this list for the third straight year! Additionally, Keller Williams is recognized this year as a top franchise for women. We endeavor to remain on both lists as the years go by.
At Keller Williams Realty Group (KWRG), women in leadership are a strong point. Our 2020 Agent Leadership Council (ALC) Members included some of our top agents, eleven of which being women – that’s 85%! Our office is lead by a female broker/owner and leadership makes up 60%!
Making the workplace as comfortable and inclusive as possible for every single individual is both a goal and a passion here at KWRG. If you’re interested in becoming a client – and we hope you are, you can find out more about our agents here.
And if you’re considering becoming an agent yourself, please contact Colleen Whalen at 267-688-1000. We would love to have you as part of our KW Family.
